How to downgrade Minecraft 1.7 to 1.6.4

Yes, this video was made for 1.2.5, but the method is EXACTLY the same! And the link provided below will give you the jar file!
Just a quick tutorial on how to downgrade in case you updated Minecraft and want to play on a server running an older version of minecraft.

No need for jar files anymore. You can just hit new profile, change the version, save profile, you have another profile for that account. You can do that now in 1.6 launcher. Just telling you guys so you don't have to complain if there isn't a Minecraft version you wanted to head to in the description. Also if it isn't working.

Go to the minecraft site then go to after downloaded profile settings press add account then press 1.5.2 like if it helps
The Minecraft .jar download doesn't come as a folder it comes in a winrar compressed package

Nah, I just discovered that you can change the version of minecraft you play in the new launcher just by changing it in the new profile.
I had the same problem you just have to download the old launcher andyou will get a bin folder
